Vocue documentation
Everything you need to run your outbound motion on Vocue: connect your CRM, work your daily signal list, dial in parallel, and let the AI SDR follow up — with every call logged back where your team already works.
1. Getting started
Start a 14-day free trial — no credit card required. Most teams are dialing within the hour.
- Create your organization at app.vocue.io and invite your reps. Each rep gets their own login; you manage the whole team from one org dashboard.
- Install the Vocue Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store. It adds Vocue's signal panel and call cards directly inside your CRM.
- Connect Close via OAuth. In the Vocue portal, go to Integrations → Close → Connect. You'll approve Vocue's access in Close (read/write on leads, contacts, and activities). Your Close API key also works as a fallback, but OAuth is recommended — it stays connected automatically.
- Set up your numbers. Your plan includes 5 phone lines. Vocue handles registration and spam-certification paperwork for you.
- Configure your morning digest. Choose a send time (default 7:30am in your timezone), who receives it, and which signal categories to include. You'll get it every morning before standup.
2. Your daily workflow
Vocue's whole pitch is simple: every lead arrives with the reason to call today. One thing that changed, one event to reference at a personal level — setting the tone of the relationship from the first hello. No five-minute research scramble — whether it’s a brand-new lead or one you’ve touched before.
- Morning digest email. Before your day starts, you get a prioritized lead list grouped by signal category — funding, hiring surges, leadership changes, technographic shifts — with the trigger behind every name.
- Signals in Close. The same alerts land directly on your Close lead and contact records, so the context is there wherever your reps work.
- Work the queue. Open the Vocue extension to see today's prioritized list. Each lead opens as a call card: the signal, recent activity, talk track, objection handling, proof points, and outreach drafts — everything a rep needs for a relevant first call.
- Dial, then move on. Calls, recordings, and outcomes log themselves back into Close automatically. No manual data entry, no end-of-day CRM catch-up.
Outreach drafts
Vocue can draft emails and SMS grounded in the signal and CRM context. Drafts are created in Close for your review — nothing is ever sent automatically. Check names, dates, roles, and cited claims before you hit send.
3. The parallel dialer
Five lines dial your prioritized list simultaneously. Answering-machine detection runs on every call, so reps only talk to humans — voicemails get a personalized drop and the dialer moves on.
- One click to start a session from the queue. The dialer works down your list; you just talk.
- Live call card on every connect — the signal, talk track, and objection cards stay on screen while you speak.
- Disposition each call (connected, voicemail, bad number, follow-up…) and it writes straight to Close with the recording attached.
- Every call is recorded. Recordings are stored with the call record in Close and in your Vocue portal.
4. AI SDR add-on
Add an AI voice SDR that works your prioritized list autonomously — qualifying prospects and booking meetings while your humans handle the conversations that matter.
- Consent first, always. The first call to any lead is always made by a human rep, who asks for permission for AI follow-up calls. Only leads with confirmed written consent can ever receive AI calls — the dialer enforces this automatically before every dial.
- Clone your rep's voice. During onboarding, each rep records a short sample so the AI SDR speaks in their voice. Every AI call opens with a short disclosure that it's an AI assistant calling on their behalf.
- Let it work the list. The AI SDR calls consented leads, qualifies them against your criteria, books meetings to your calendar, and writes every note and transcript back to Close.
- Set a spend cap. You control the maximum monthly AI spend per organization. Usage stops at the cap — no surprise bills.
5. Plans, minutes & credits
- Vocue Pro — $149/month per organization. Includes 600 human talk-minutes, 5 phone lines with local presence, adaptive parallel dialing with human/machine/fax detection, and the daily intelligence digest. Extra minutes: $30 per 500-minute block.
- AI SDR add-on — $49/month (requires Vocue Pro). Includes 2,000 AI credits per month (about 200 AI talk-minutes at 10 credits per started minute). Top-ups: $30 per 2,000 credits, with optional auto top-up.
- Human minutes and AI credits are tracked in separate wallets and never mix. Credits don't roll over.
- Your trial is 14 days, no credit card. Add a card before it ends or dialing pauses (your data is kept).
6. Evidence and data quality
Every signal links to the source evidence that triggered it. If a source describes a client's event rather than the monitored company's own event, report it for review.
- Don't rely on a headline alone — open the source.
- Distinguish the subject company from advisers, law firms, and partners.
- Use signal history to tell whether an event is new or previously observed.
7. Need help?
Email support@vocue.io with the affected company or contact, the approximate time, what you were doing, and a screenshot that doesn't contain credentials.
